Jumping Seat Candidate

Ever since I started riding at the age of five I knew horses would be a part of my life forever. I’ve grown up surrounded by amazing people in the sport who have shaped me into who I am today. I show in the equitation and jumpers on the “AA” circuit. I currently ride with Max Amaya and TJ O’Mara at Stonehenge Stables.

I am a sophomore at St. Rose High School in Belmar, NJ. I am dedicated to both my academics and my riding. In the times when I am not at the barn, I enjoy hanging out with my dogs, surfing, and going to the beach with my friends.

Riding in college at the D1 level has been a goal of mine for a long time. Through horseback riding I have learned commitment, patience, and the importance of working hard. I look forward to finding the right college for me where I can succeed at riding and academics.

At the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic, I began sewing protective masks for my family and friends. At the time, masks were not readily available in stores. I had been taking sewing lessons for a few years, and I was thrilled to do my part and help our community. Soon, word got out what I was doing, and before I knew it, I had sewn over 400 masks for people throughout the country. I received pictures of doctors and nurses wearing my masks and this made me feel so proud. Although I was sewing them for free, some recipients were generous and left me a monetary tip. At the end of the month, I had accumulated $500, which I donated to Allaire Community Farm. I am proud to have been featured in the Trenton Monitor and our local newspaper for my efforts.
